Why blog?

This question has consistently run through her head, “Why does the world need another voice blogging about their opinion?” The answer seems straightforward; it doesn’t. We don’t need another opinion streaming across social platforms and our feeds. We don’t need to be compelled to believe and behave one way today and another tomorrow, depending on the voice we find ourselves listening to.

We do need clarity and the voice of reason when our lives become confused and spiritually empty. When the pressure to “be and let be” ruffles our inner peace, the Bible speaks truth, healing, and wisdom. The final chapters of what is known to some as God’s plan book for humanity includes an often quoted verse, “They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony (Rev 12:11a NIV).” The reality of an unseen battle raging all around us is explained in the Scriptures. The “him” referenced is Satan, ruler of this invisible yet very real realm. He accuses followers of Jesus of wrongdoing daily. He deceives us into believing we are ugly, unlovable, and unwanted. He is the source of our confusion, pain, and emptiness, leading us to think that we deserve broken hearts and unmet needs.

Jesus and His teachings are the source of life, peace, and true contentment. The apostle Paul recorded his encouragement to a young minister, stating, “For God saved us and called us to live a holy life. He did this, not because we deserved it, but because that was his plan from before the beginning of time--to show us his grace through Christ Jesus. And now he has made all of this plain to us by the appearing of Christ Jesus, our Savior. He broke the power of death and illuminated the way to life and immortality through the Good News. ... Through the power of the Holy Spirit who lives within us, carefully guard the precious truth that has been entrusted to you (2 Timothy 1:9,10,14).” With this in mind, I join the voices of bloggers and social media influencers.

Do we need another opinion screaming at us from our feeds, phones, and screens? No. Do we need a voice of reason and assurance? Absolutely. My goal is to join this stream of voices, speaking the truth in love, allowing sisters to share their stories of pain and healing, grief and joy, brokenness, and wholeness, aligning hearts and minds to the words of Jesus. Feel free to share your story with me. I encourage you to like and subscribe to us on Facebook and Youtube.
